While the Hörnlihut is closed, there is a shelter within 20 beds and a toilet available. Though there is no water, no gas, no blankets or the possibility to cook.
To start a fire or to use any gas appliance inside the shelter is strictly forbidden. DANGER TO LIFE!
The Matterhorn Group AG disclaims any liability regarding accidents in connection with the use of the shelter.
Fee shelterAfter the use of the shelter, an amount of CHF 20 must be paid.

The liner for sleeping can be bought at the hut.
We do accept VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Diners, JCB, Union Pay and Post Card .
Mountain Guides and members of the Swiss Alpine Club receive a CHF 10.00 discount when they present their membership card.
All prices include the overnight stay, dinner, breakfast and tea for the tour and do not include visitor's tax.
We require a reservation fee of CHF 50.00 per person. Your reservation is only confirmed after having received the fee. The fee will not be reimbursed, however deducted from the price at your arrival.
Until 30 days prior to your arrival you can change your booking free of charge - after that you have to make a new booking - the paid fee will be lost.
We only accept reservations for a maximum two successive nights.
Dogs can be only allowed in double rooms.
Wild camping and bivouacking is not allowed around the Matterhorn at heights of 2,880 meters above sea level or higher. Anyone who violates this law will face fines of up to CHF 5,000.00 from the Commune of Zermatt.
